The pre-purchase survey is usually ordered by a prospective buyer or a bank for financing purposes. The survey purpose is to gain a full insight into the Vessel’s condition, and to mitigate any financial risk before the acquisition. The Surveyor in charge should evaluate properly the overall condition of the Vessel.

In this respect, this survey typically includes a thorough examination of the Vessel’s structure, her machinery and equipment and all key/critical components. To the allowed extent, we carry out testing of the various machinery and equipment as well to have the possibility to see them in working condition. Furthermore, apart of the physical inspection, before our boarding the Vessel, we conduct background research into the Vessel (using previous surveys, PSC and Class records & other available sources) to identify areas that might require extra attention during the inspection onboard.
